Nanibar Restaurant Padang — A Taste of Heritage, Redefined
Located in the heart of Bandung, Nanibar is a modern reinterpretation of the classic Rumah Gadang. Formerly known as Nanibar Kapau, the restaurant went through a thoughtful renovation in 2024 to create a more comfortable, accessible, and character-rich space for today’s urban diners.

We took part in refreshing the interior identity—combining authentic Minang elements such as carved brick ornamentation, original songket pieces, and curated decor, with warm, user-friendly furniture selections. Key updates include a dedicated prayer room, proper restroom facilities, a more efficient service area, and a redesigned façade that speaks of tradition with a contemporary voice.

More than just a facelift, this project celebrates cultural continuity while embracing comfort and functionality for the evolving needs of Nanibar’s guests.
